The Internet in Review

There is much confusion today when defining the web or the internet. Let's clear this issue up. The internet is the campaigning of marketing and sales through links channed via social media. So what is social media marketing? It follows a foundation as Wikipedia states: "an integrated marketing principle most organizations follow to comment, target and drive brand value. Social Media may consist of link communications interfaced with Facebook; LinkedIn, You Tube My Space; Twitter and Six Apart Type Pad Blogs.
What is really the Internet's past vs. today? Yesterday, the internet was a goverment regulated system called ARPANET. Arpanet established its network in 1969. In 1983, Arpanet switched over to the more modern operating system called TCP/IP. The root of the Internet is really at this point. It is with TCP/IP that other operaing systems could also connect and communicate over the same network.
Today many of our networks for the Internet are maintainted by the telephone, cable and satellite companies. This means we witness the evolution of the internet from government to commmercial organization which gain big profit from subscribers to their Internet services.
The Internet can then be defined as a large connecting collection of computers all over the world which interconnect and communicate with each other. Each computer can be labeled as a node. Nodes are what people communicate with via electronic mail. They can read online version of many journals, magazines, newspapers books, and send e-mails. Therefore, the World Wide Web Consortium is classified as a subset of the Internet that relies on business. Today, many businesses want to transfer data or information to the Internet about their products and services. This type of advertising is called Marketing. The intent is to sell services over the Internet. The Web has helped to expand the Internet and make available internet resources to many consumers who may not be experts or computer literate.
Today, the Internet is an Industry. E-Commerce is that Industry. It is defined as the buying and selling of goods and services over the Internet. E-Retailing is the buying and selling of merchandise over the web. The Industry relies on information resources provided by any topic. There are search engines that are ideally created and linked to the operating system to connnect any topic of information that is imagined. There is rarely an item that cannot be purchased on the Internet today.
The Internet is a provider of unique electronic servcies.

The Internet carries an infinite amount of data. The World Wide Web enhances this criteria by hosting its information on web pages. Web pages are created by HperTextMarkup Language (HTML). The HTML is basically a set of codes transcripted onto the documnet and then displayed on a web browser. The codes set the web page. These web pages are then generated with a text based editor such as Notepad. Their are software web page authoring tools on the market that has a graphic interface which allows you to use text and images or other web elements to arrange your web page.
